Six years after leaving an abusive relationship, Tiffiny Newton has transformed survival into a mission. She is the author of Behind the Smile: The Unseen Signs of Emotional Abuse and President of IgniteHer, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to helping women build safer exits, stronger confidence, and independent futures.
Tiffiny is also training toward certification through Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Largo’s Women Empowered program, preparing to teach self-defense as part of her holistic approach to safety. She serves as an active voice in domestic violence advocacy—attending national conferences, collaborating with Sexual Assault Response Teams, and contributing to her local Domestic Violence Task Force.
By sharing her story, Tiffiny helps others recognize the unseen signs of abuse, create safer exit strategies, and reclaim their strength. Her mission is clear: to turn resilience into empowerment and open the door to brighter futures for women everywhere.
